My childhood was the best time of my life. I am so grateful that I was discriminated in an all-white school, abused and bullied every day for 9 years, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Glad, I was a child and I was naïve and numb. It passed. I have learnt the earlier it happens, the better it is, therefore, embrace your challenges instantly to mature faster. This gave me an edge and I learn emotional intelligence and people skills way better than many others.
Comes my teenage and my stepfather did all he could to sexually harass me for years only because a mother lacked courage and felt torn between two people she actually loved. I learnt that if a woman doesn’t display courage, the whole society can fall into darkness and oppression will never have an ending. So I picked up some courage and saved myself and my younger brother from torture. I learnt, both the oppressor and oppressed are equally at fault specially if the oppressed sits back and does not take action.
As a university student, I was focused on studies but slept empty stomach for many years. Me and my brother would work odd jobs, extra hours and come exhausted. My focus was to graduate with flying colors, and yes, I did. My learning during this period was personal financial management and maxing out on optimization of minimal resources. I understood the value of money which a lot of people understand, but my differentiating factor was to understand the value of financial management. I chose this as my mission for life.
Landed in a government job at the grants management department. A moment of pride indeed. Worked my way up and struck my head in the glass ceiling. I had questions, no one would dare answer, but I also had a choice, so I made my choice. I understood the system but it never aligned with my ethics, but I am not a coward and also not foolish. I stepped out of the system to change the system from the outside. I became an entrepreneur.
Finally, my journey of power started with a clear mission; equitable distribution of wealth and bringing financial wellness to masses so taxpayers’ money is utilized efficiently. I founded uProfyt. I learnt that knowledge gives you authority, but power requires both knowledge and strategy. I became the voice for financial transparency and continue to advocate for building a transparent and more efficient financial eco-system.

Not an interesting story, I know because this has never been my focus. I don’t want to create my own story and share it for temporary fame, but I want to create the stories of others which inspires their own communities and my ambition is to become the most meaningful chapter of your life.

I bootstrapped all the way, and I am proud of it. I won a significant market share with a clear competitive edge, serving my clients with integrity and brilliance. Everything I do, I go an extra mile and deliver with integrity. Easier said than done. From a self-employed professional to becoming an entrepreneur, I have invested in myself regularly from the finest in the industry. I have applied my learnings in the art of delegation, process mapping, creative marketing, aggressive selling but most importantly, keeping my mission ahead of me.

I am driven by purpose and there is not bigger purpose than loving uncondiiontally and selflessly. There is no better life than a life which is lived to serve others. There is no better achievement than to help everyone win and succeed.
